Engineering, Electronics, and Coding using Tinkercad and Arduino

Sponsored by the VELA Education Fund

    • Presented by Isabel Mendiola and Peter Haydock, authors of The STEAM+C Classroom: STEAM Edition
    • FREE hands-on, high-tech workshop
    • Up to 20 participants
    • Design and build up to 6 projects in each Workshop
    • FREE Project Materials, Project Book, Snacks and Lunch (if an all-day workshop).
    • Please indicate any dietary restrictions in your order.
    • Select your location and date/time from - a calendar invitation will be sent you after you register with more information.

PC or Mac Laptop with the Arduino IDE installed (Chromebook option is available but not recommended)
Mac Users with USB C only, please bring a dongle to connect to USB A.

Create an account at Tinkercad before the workshop.

    • Educator workshops are for teachers, librarians, teacher aides, homeschool educator leaders, instructors, informal educators, or group leaders to participate - Must be an adult to participate. Lunch will be provided in day-long workshops.

    • Student workshops are for students grades 5 through 12. Families may participate but receive one kit and book per family. Register as one family and indicate any siblings or adult chaperones that will attend in the order notes at checkout. Lunch will be provided in day-long workshops for the student participant and one additional family member (chaperone or sibling). Other family members should plan to bring a lunch.
